1. Who are Club members, and
what is emphasized by the Club? Most of our members are from the greater
Sacramento area, but we also have some members living out of the
Sacramento area. Our members range in ability from front runners
and winners in local road running events to middle-of-the-pack
and back-of-the-pack participants. We participate primarily
in local road races from 5K to half marathon in length, but some
of us also participate in shorter track events, cross country, marathon, and even ultra marathon events.
2.
What are the requirements to join? Membership is open to all,
including men and women, boys and girls, regardless of ability. You need
only to tell us you want to join. All we ask is that you
provide us with your name, and (optionally) your phone number and
email address. We have running singlets with our logo on them for sale
at our cost ($20 each) and we strongly urge you to buy one when
you become a member. However, purchase of a singlet is not a
requirement to join.
3. Are there any restrictions
on who can attend the workouts? All interested runners may participate in our
workouts. By "all" we mean both Club members and
non-members, including members of other clubs.
4. How much does it cost to
join, and what are the monthly or annual dues? There is no cost. There are
no dues. As mentioned previously, we strongly urge you to purchase a
singlet, but this is not a requirement. The minimal costs of Club
operation are borne by Club members who enjoy donating their time and
money to help you
improve and meet your running goals.
